![]() ![]() Additionally, the Public Art Archive™ project is a series of focused efforts to increase the visibility of public artworks in communities through education and engagement initiatives. The Public Art Archive™ is a growing database and mobile website of completed public artworks from around the world. One may also enjoy the collection by viewing online through the Public Art Archive. Loveland’s public art collection is on display throughout the community. Over the past 34 years, proceeds from the annual Sculpture in the Park have funded multiple capital projects within the two parks, as well as the fine art collection. The Loveland High Plains Arts Council remains the City’s largest donor, having gifted the City with the sculptures on display in Benson Sculpture Garden and the recent expansion into Benson Sculpture Garden at North Lake Park. ![]() This distinction makes Loveland very unique when compared to other municipalities. Loveland’s public art collection is unique as 68% of the value of the collection has been donated to the City by individual artists, community organizations and private donors. Per the City’s public art ordinance, artwork is placed within the City’s right-of-way, parks, infrastructure projects and City buildings where it can be enjoyed by the public. Artistic expression abounds, creating the rich tapestry that makes Loveland unique among Colorado communities. Here you will find sculpture on the way to the grocery store, in residential neighborhoods, in front of banks and offices, and in parks and playgrounds. ![]() Through vision, hard work and collaboration, Loveland has created a large, diverse public art collection that creates a sense of place and purpose. ![]()
